Do these need special installation requiring welding? or can they be installed like regular springs?

Sorry to bring this up again, but what exactly needs to be welded and how neccessary is it? The reason i ask is because Im going to school where theres a lot of snow, so adjustability is important to me, and i dont really have easy access to a welder.Originally posted by george gravesIs that Hitler having a Juicy Juice in your avatar?Originally posted by Raxeyes :(Originally posted by Wh33lhopI FUCKING LOVE JUICE. a

There is NO required welding to install the basic kit.
You can trim the factory perch in front for added lowering and tire clearance if needed.

All right good to know. I doubt that would be necessary as I dont like it to be too low anyway, just enough to eliminate most fender gap.Originally posted by george gravesIs that Hitler having a Juicy Juice in your avatar?Originally posted by Raxeyes :(Originally posted by Wh33lhopI FUCKING LOVE JUICE. a

^ it would be helpful to identify what length spring and possibly springrate you are running.
Probably wouldn't matter too much, but to paint a more complete picture.Originally posted by FredKHowever, in your absence, I will likely sit in your seat buck naked while making racecar noises as if I were maxing your E30 out on the Mulsanne Straight while allowing the perforated vinyl to soak up my butt sweat (going 200 mph does that to you).

if you consult with GC, they will treat you right. Others would mix and match combinations of rates/lengths until they get what they desire for the car. Be it performance or stance.Originally posted by FredKHowever, in your absence, I will likely sit in your seat buck naked while making racecar noises as if I were maxing your E30 out on the Mulsanne Straight while allowing the perforated vinyl to soak up my butt sweat (going 200 mph does that to you).

I've got 3 E30's and have experimented with a number of rates. This combo is by far my favorite...very well balanced, firm but not harsh.Originally posted by FredKHowever, in your absence, I will likely sit in your seat buck naked while making racecar noises as if I were maxing your E30 out on the Mulsanne Straight while allowing the perforated vinyl to soak up my butt sweat (going 200 mph does that to you).
