i've wanted an e30 for an honest ten years, and I finally got one a couple weeks ago. i couldn't be happier with my decision, and i have big plans for it.
it is 100% stock as it sits, and i figure you have to start somewhere. might as well do coilovers first. i have been reading on here for days, and it seems like everyone is very pleased with ground control's product, as well as their customer service.
I haven't herd anything bad from anyone that actually run's KW's variant 1's, just some hearsay about them blowing shocks under heave track use. the few people that have them seem to like them on the street.
kw's are appealing in the sense that its all new parts, i wouldn't have to cut or weld anything, just install. that being said, if ground controls really are quite a bit better i have a really good friend that is a master welder that builds drag cars that owes me a favor.
-it will be a street car driven hard, that may see occasional track days just for fun with my buddys (88 M3, a couple built b5 s4's, gnarly STi, supercharged s2000) NOT a serious track car at all though. (have my arrow ax9 for that)
-will be doing an s52 swap as soon as i get all the suspension, braces, and wheels figured out
-do not want an extremely harsh ride, Colorado roads can get bad at times
basically, for my intended use, do you think i would be better off with variant 1's or ground controls?
thanks for the help
