    Question without cursing

I'm sure this question is going to frustrate you vets but please be patient. I have an 85 that i've done a b34 motor swap on. Not running yet but about a month out. I've only driven the car once and that was almost a year ago. The suspension is more than soft (and that's putting it lightly). I can push on the hood and the darn thing bouncing like a moonwalk. So...should I start with replacing the shocks, springs, bushings, etc... My original goal was to just go with GC coilovers and Koni shocks. But I now need a DD and this is my first option and need it driveable for now.

its driveable now but yes you need new shocks. springs aren't as important but a good idea to replace them too. start there.

Grab some KYBs and a set of cheap springs. You will be seriously underdamped considering the extra M30 weight, but WAY better than stock...and fairly easy to resell.

E30 suspension is so easy and cheap to swap, temporary is fine. You won't lose your ass on it.
