Shortened steering joint length??

Can someone measure their joint?? Seriously, we have a 1pc unit here in Germany and cannot do the traditional cut-and-add spacer length adjustment for the E36 rack swap. Can some give me a measure, center pivot-to-center pivot of the top and bottom universal on their properly the shorthened that connects the column and rack??

Just take the guibo out and bolt the two flanges together, thats the right length.

Negative, Mr. Deagle....I had thought about it but I think it puts too much stress on the aluminum flange. I can't take a chance of that thing breaking.
