Where to buy a strut bar

Where can I order a strut bar for the front towers?

Is the sparco at bimmerworld any good? Ah but it's on backorder...

I went to bav auto and their prices were outrageous. The one over at bimmer world is pretty cheap.

I see Ie's is pretty cheap. Looks like I'll be getting that one.

just be careful with IE's bar, i had to get 3 of them before if fit. They have a bullshit theory about different sizes for the towers. measure your car first!

What should it be the specified length that they say there's is? I'll check it in a little bit.

            this is what they say:

IMPORTANT! The BMW factory published body specification shows the distance between the strut towers should be 1002.2mm +-2mm (39.5"), measured from center to center (at the strut bearing opening in the inner fenders) - and the bar we manufacture is 1002.2mm, the published spec. However; we have found many cars (ranged across all E30 years and models) that measure about 980mm (38.75")... there is no published factory documentation of any difference in the body dimensions. We suggest you measure your car to ensure that our brace will work without modification.

The Sparco bar is about the best deal out there.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Maybe the towers sag inward over time which closes the gap a bit. Lifting the whole front of the car off the ground may have allowed for installation of the bar.

The IE bar and Sparco are the same exact design. If Sparco is not available, go with the IE.

i hear good things about mason ones.

i personally have a bavauto one, came with the car, it seems to do well, we'll see once i get my suspension tightened up....

                            IMO it'll be

                            Mason
                            Sparco\\IE
                            BavAuto

Based on all the reviews i've seen + personal experience (just 2 of em lol) , either of those should do just fine.
