Anyone broke a rear GC spring before?

I was going to adjust my rear ride height when I saw this

I'm curious to know if this is a common problem or not.

I've never seen that before. How long has the spring been installed? What are the road conditions like? Lots of salt?
They look to have a bit of surface rust on them, A crack probably started and with the aid of rust and bumpy roads it was able to propagate completely through the spring.

I'd hope that ground control would take some responsibility and send you a pair of replacement spring free of charge.

            Yeah they'd probably replace that.
If I'm not mistaken, they have a lifetime warranty on most of their stuff.

Springs have been used for about 3 years.

Roads here in Vancouver are fine and not bumpy at all. We see more rain than anything and the rust may be from when they salt the roads here in the Winter to prevent black ice.

I'll PM Hellabad and see what happens.

Check your PM, I replied. These springs are warrantied for life, no problem with that. We need to carefully do a bunch of paperwork so Canadian customs doesn't charge you duty on a new one. (Thats why you have to email me back.)

                  Forgot to update this thread.

Jay @ GC took care of the issue very quickly.

Got my info, sent me out a replacement spring, I replaced the broken one and I sent it back to them.

                  Thanks!
