Do these lower more than H&R Race's?

    Do they bottom out?

i have them, they ride good and you get a decent drop but if you want to go really low these won't get you there.

I want some really low standard-type (non-coilover) springs. Seems like Vogtland and H&R Race are the lowest...?

I've got Vogtland springs (purple ones, no idea which model/part number they are) With KYBs. Good drop, but like everyone else says a little too soft during hard cornering. It's almost like there's a split-second delay between turning the wheel and the car shooting to that side. Think it's mostly the KYBs, I'm planning on picking up Bilsteins soon like I meant to in the first place, hopefully that'll stiffen it up. Great ride quality when just cruising around though.

Not the best pic but you get the idea as far as drop goes.

Just recently rebuilt the complete suspension on my brothers E30 and we decided to go with Vogtland Purples. Used with Replacement Boge/Sach shocks all around w/ E90 drophats, and Blue IE Sway bars, they ride a bit stiffer than stock, however still too soft since they do bottom out if one side of the car takes the impact from the road. For daily driving and shitty So-Cal roads, these are perfect. For Autocross or weekend tracking- go with something else.

anyone have the vogtlands with some decent billy sports or konis? I hear the shocks make a big difference. I have the vogtlands now with shitty OE boges shocks and they are too soft for my taste. wondering if new konis will stiffen things up.

I run these on my 89 325i coupe with Bilstein Sports.

Nice drop, smooth ride, but too soft in the rear. Anytime I goose it I can feel the rear dip.

Prolly going with IE Stage 3 w/ drop hats or H&R Race springs in the future.
