    Negative Chamber Problems

    I have a 1989 325ic....E30
    I lower my car using H&R sport springe and shocks, however in doing that a hugh negative incresed occured in my real wheels. I then used Bavarian Autosports adjustable cambers in the front and real, however my right rear tires remain to far out of line to get any type of good tire wear. I was wondering could I have any worn parts that I may be able to replace to bring the real closer to factory or do I need a different set up.

    well lowering your car automatically adds negative camber. but if its severe, then worn bushings would be a reason.

      You could also have bent suspension compenents.

      Has the car ever been in an accident?

              Welcome to a 1960's era rear trailing arm setup.

              Coupled to relatively soft, shorter springs designed for a car that weighs about 200 pounds less, you are going to see a fair bit of negative camber in the rear. Replace all of the bushings and you might take some of it out, you may also want to consider the eccentric rear bushings off of the M coupe, this can get you a little bit of the camber back to positive. Be prepare to draw a picture for the parts guy, as he will have no idea what you are talking about.
