Any experience with warrany claiming a set of K.Y.Bs?

I bought this car with a set of K Y B shocks on it. They're old, and more worn than I had previously thought (stiff suspension masks bounciness.) They have a limited lifetime warranty. Not knowing where they were bought, is there any way to get warranty replacements? Has anyone tried this? How did it work out?

Send an email and ask just explain you lost the receipt.

Last time I tried (like 1987 or so) they wanted me to buy a new set and ship them the old ones in the new boxes. They would decide if I had coverage, then send me another set which I was supposedly able to return...weird, huh?

The website says you need a receipt and need to go to your supplier, so that's out.

That sounds like a PITA stereoguy, guess I'll pass on it! LOL!
