Mason Front Strut Bar and Battery Clearance

Just got my Mason Strut Bar in the mail today. When I tired to install it there is direct interference between the front mounted battery and the bar. The battery runs into the bar right around the positive terminal. Nothing on Mason's site said that I had to have a rear mounted battery. Any thoughts on this? Has someone else had this problem and used a smaller battery up front?
The car in question is an 87 325iC. The trunk is already small enough and I would rather not relocate the battery back there.
Your guys thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My car has the battery up front as well and my mason clears the battery not from much
but it clears. Is your battery oversized?

Don't know. Could you get me the measurements from your battery?

Got an email from Mason today. Says that I can send my bar back and he will send me the "revised one" I asked for some clarification on what that means, but it sounds like there are two versions of this bad boy out there. One for rear batts and one for front. I will keep you posted with the results.

I believe the cars with front mounted batteries use a 49. What is yours?
