    d2 racing coilovers

I am really considering buying the d2 racing coilover set. Has anyone had any experience with them? My friend has a set on his maxima and loves em.

They're worth roughly 50-75% of your car's value. I mean handling is important, but unless I'm racing professionally for money that's just ridiculous.

        Do as you wish.

Just compare to other things that are less expensive, so you don't regret it.
I personally don't know what these d2 coilovers offer over something else like ground control coilovers, you should compare and contrast.

yes, everyone has "plans" for their car. It's up to you to decide if you want to spend the money on a set up kit or spend a bit less to build your own of equal quality

I just wanted a few opinions on these things, sorry to press your penny pinching buttons.

Also the main reason I am attempting to get coilovers is because of the adjustability. One more thing, the set ground control offers is the same price as d2. I was curious between the two and wanted to hear some good e30 owner experience with d2's.

The GC "kit" also includes camber/caster plates, with the increased travel they include. Take those off the total (for comparison purposes) and the GC kit is $300 less.

Thats good to know now, I wasn't promoting these things or anything I just wanted to know how they stood up against everything else.

                edit: My sig

No problem, we just naturally give off the asshole impression here. :D

It's pretty much established in North America, if you want to go racing with an E30 the GC/Koni setup is pretty damn capable, for sure more than enough for 98% of the drivers out there. Replacement parts are cheap, plentiful, and quite strong in the first place. Plus it's tried and true, if you ever need setup or install advice, there's a large community to help you out.

I run a basic GC collar/perch, Eibach ERS spring, Koni SA damper combo. I'm slowly upgrading parts as I see necessary (next on the list is new Konis with the GC bump stops), and it's fun stuff.

What are your plans for this car anyways?

What most people like to soften up by calling it "spirited driving" I like to call unsanctioned road racing. Also autox.

AFAIK there isn't a single E30 owner on this board with D2s. However, there is a consensus among Nissan B13 owners that D2s are inferior to other brands, like Progress, Tein, and GC because of QC and longevity issues.
