    question.

i just purchased a set of bilstein sports and was wondering if i have to cut/shave the bump stops when installed ?
my car is resting on eibach pros, so its not really low but has nice subtle stance.

basically can i just install the shocks? or do i need some modification?

    thanks

Not unless you go really low.

Use an unambiguous thread title in the future...

I could of created a title that read; bilstein sport help, or installing shocks, etc.
We all know this a suspension forum. I Believe my title is fine...

Thanks for your help Ken .

bilstein uses an internal bump stop. discard the stock bump stop when you install them.

OP, was your question about the internal bumpstops in the Bilsteins or the external stock ones? I assumed the former.

Completely removing the internal bumpstop is NOT recommended. Open the strut insert and cut about an inch off of the bumpstop. That will get you another inch of travel and that's all you really need. Eibach pro's aren't crazy low so you should be fine. I cut an inch off of mine ans i have coils. No problems. I also have gc plates for more travel.

One inch and youll be golden.

              What Taylor said..
When you open it up, there will be 3(iirc) yellow bump stops that look like this:

              |_)|_)|_)

              Just remove the first one.
When you open it up, you'll figure it out.

Eh, kind of. The billy sports have a one piece bumpstop. It looks kind of like a pine cone shape around the strut shaft. It's about 3" long. Cut about an inch down from the top horizontally then make a vertical cut from the top to the cut you just made. Grab the piece and twist to pull it off of the shaft. And you're done. Put everything back together and enjoy NOT hitting your bumpstops lol.
