rear springs barrel and cylindrical shaped

Looking at rear eibach/hypercoil coilover springs, does using the non'barrel shape/type cylindrical spring work in the back using the stock spring pads to keep them in place?

Ive been looking for the barrel type springs to put in the back without the threaded perches(6" length 2.5"ID), but cant find any. found a bunch of cylidrical shaped ones usually used for the front

There are urethane spring pads available for 2.25/2.5 springs you can use without using adjusters, I know IE carries them.
