    e36 rack, manual e30 rack?

The steering rack in my 88 seta is leaking bad and becoming loose. I have a manual rack from my 84 gray market I can swap in, or spend some money and do a e36 swap. I kind of like the idea of using the manual rack as you don't see very many of them, and there is less to leak, but it is slooowwww. What do you guys think I should do.

This is the car, Purchased this car a month or two ago.

the manual racks have more turns lock to lock than your seta rack, and like you said they're very slow. Get a z3 or e36 rack

^^^ e36 + i kept it on my track car. delete is ridiculous unless you have a drag car. PITA IMHO.
          No more e30s for me.

I think I'm going to put the manual rack in until next winter as a bandaid, then do the e36 /w power swap. I plan on pulling the motor then to re-ring and reseal then, It would make it easier. Thanks for the advise.

why do the same work twice?! it boggles my mind.
the job is actually pretty simple even with the motor in. look in the DIY forum. Bend the subframe/steering tabs a bit will make the swap so easy even a caveman can do it. [sue me geico!]
