Stability is all about balance. You can get there with either bar, just depends on the rest of the set-up.Last edited by JeffRR; 01-02-2011, 09:02 PM.

A 25mm hollow bar (probably 25.4mm actually) will need to be pretty thick walled to have the same stiffness as a 22mm bar (probably 22.2mm actually).
It's possible, but not a slam dunk, to make a larger hollow bar stiffer
