I recently bought bilstein sports/racing dynamic green springs for sale locally. The fronts came fully assembled in the strut housing. However, the front springs are installed different on both sides. Anyone know the correct way the springs should be mounted? Sorry no actual pics of the struts.

What do you mean by "installed differently"? -
Basically the springs weren't installed correctly, one is upside down.
The writing on the side with tighter wound coils on the top is upside down, is this correct?Comment

It really doesn't matter...
Orient them so they are the same and you're good to go.Comment

Basically as long as they are both oriented the same it doesn't really matter what side is up or down.
The progressive design is what gives them tighter and looser wound coils on the same spring. The lighter sprung ones will take all the daily bumps while the stiffer ones will work when the spring is compressed more.Comment

I just checked my set this morning. Yes the writing on my set is right side up with the tighter wound coils on top.

It really doesn't matter which way the springs are installed. If it bothers you to have one spring upside down, then change it. But that wont have any affect on the way the springs work or how the car behaves. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
