    Sway bushings

Sorry for sounding like the noob I am, but I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm replacing the mounting bushings for the front sway bar and am kind of stuck with installing the new one(s). Is there an easier way to install other than brute force? Can I warm the bushing up to make it softer? I can't get anywhere with it but didn't know if I was doing something wrong.

As a side note, the ball joint on the old control arm that mounts to the strut/caliper mount will not come out. Is there a trick to this without getting a ball joint separator? Sorry for the long post, but I've been racking my brain (and hands) with this and the Bentley doesn't help. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I'll try that. I was using petroleum jelly and it seemed to help a LITTLE bit but not a ton. Thanks for the tip!
