strut housing diameter

What is the outside diameter of the late model stut housings. Im ordering coil over sleeves and need to make sure I get the correct ones. a standard 2id wont work i think.

51mm on late model and 45 on early? Or is that the insert... I have a spare set of late model housings on the shelf I'll measure tomorrow if you don't get your answer by then.

OK thankyou. I dont know for sure if the 51 is the insert or not. Thats kust a hair over 2 inches already.



Edit: found this just need it confermed 51mm strut, uses a 45mm insert,

Ok Thanks so a 2.08 sleeve should work since the housing is 2.007

Just to add on this, are we talking about the outer diameter of the strut housing being 51mm? Theoretically, if i were doing something custom, i would need an OD of 51mm, and that would fit into the knuckle?
