    Bilstein sports - anything salvageable?

I pulled these off a car my son & I recently purchased (sports with stock springs...doh). On the test drive, the left front seemed to hit pretty hard on any significant compression. After pulling these from the car, the driver's side shock only compresses about 2" and then just stops. The right shock compresses fine but I had a devil of a time getting the top nut off. I used air tools to no avail and then applied heat...ended up twisting the thread off. So basically I have two crapped out struts. My question, is there anything that can be salvaged here or are they garbage?

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks Jargo, I may post these for someone to use as rebuild cores. I don't need 'em and don't have the time to mess with it right now.

I might be interested in having them rebuilt if you really want to get rid of them.
