H&R OE Sport is not cutting it...

I need the rear end to waggle less when it steps out, just like your mom. Yes that's rude, it should be, I'm drunk and not driving...

    Currently:
    318is
    Billstiens
    Eibach sways F&R
    M50B25TU

I have pretty new billstien HD's so I'd like to stay with them, how much stiffer are the Sports, or should I move right on to the Race? I've made the mistake on my MR2 running to low and stiff and I want to avoid that, this is my DD and it will never be a race car. Track eventually, not a race car.

What are the better DD options?
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

I think the H&R Sport is great for daily driving. I run them on my 4 door. My buddy ran H&R Sports with Bilstein HD on his M30 4 door and it was great!

The HDs and Sports are the same damping. The Sports are just lower.

If you want to get stiffer springs, but stick with the HDs and avoid a really low ride height, youre going to have to get a coilover setup and just dial the adjusters up.

I'd add some more shock instead. Lower and stiffer would improve that behavior, but at greater cost to ride quality than some rebound control.

What do you mean by "less waggle when it steps out?"

Are you not better to have a slightly softer rear end on an E30? Always been told that anyway. I guess because it breaks free easier and more violently with it being too hard.

Also by waggle when it slides out is that not due to the lack of an LSD? Or does it already have one? Could be me being dense but Just a thought.

By waggle I mean body roll and it's got a 4.10 LSD so there's not much I can do there.

I don't want to buy new shocks but that probably realistically is the best option IF I move on to higher spring rates in the future. However the ride if far from bouncy with the HD's and OE Sports so I'm not sure the dampers are the problem. Konis seem to run around $600 by the time I get them in the car and I don't want to buy used ones... used springs is a different matter, and much cheaper.

Who else makes a spring that is near the ride hight of the OE Sports but with higher rates?

None aside from coilovers that I'm aware of. Maybe the M3 Group N springs, but who the F knows what those run.

If you're worried about body roll, you need to adjust your sways.

Sways are adjusted, I don't want to run too much sway for the spring because then you're compromising the individuality of each strut. Sounds like I might have to go a bit lower..

How stiff of a spring/sway can the Bilstien HD's handle before their longevity comes into question?

Typically the rule of thumb is about 375 lb/in front and 450 lb/in rear

It seems there is a common misconception regarding the term H&R "sport" springs.
There are 2 different "sport" springs available: 50404-(55) and the 50406
The 50406 is firmer and has more drop than the 50404.
I have 50406's and think they are a perfect street combo with bilstein sports and dinan sways. Clearing a 225/45/16 is also no problem

The 04s are the "OE Sport"
                        The 06s are the "Sport"

I've been told that they're the same rates, but the OE Sports don't lower the car as much.

In my younger, more ignorant days, I bought a set of bilstein sports and hr sport (50406) for 300 off craigslist and sold them on r3v for only 500. I should have kept them. They had a thousand miles on them and were prime.
