H&R cupkit strut locking collar help

I need to get some top locking collars for my H&R cupkit, does anyone know where I can get some? I've got three different styles of top collars but none fit over the insert

I only found out this after I'd pulled the struts off and stripped them down to fit.



Getting really miffed with this :x . Had it confirmed via a US supplier that they use the oem strut locking collars so ordered some from BMW. They turned up today and I'm back to square one as they don't fit over the shocks.
I've had contact with the lad I brought them from but he couldn't shed any light as a Garage original fitted them to his sport and then removed them for him 3000 miles later. You can see markings on the inserts from collars..

Are there any other cars out there that use 51mm struts?!? can anyone help

Just found this photo of an actual E30 cupkit and the shock looks similiar in shape to the Boge shocks which would match up with using the oem collar... what the hell have I got, part numbers on the shock match to what H&R state are for my car...
