    325ix need help!

So I have an 88 325ix and I just took out my springs so i could put in my H&R's in and I got new strut inserts, but the strut is to big to fit in the housing about two inches to tall, the original collapsed height is 15.45" and the new one is 17.45". I cant figure out why, it says it's the right part number for an ix. Anyone run into this before?

Sounds like you have inserts for a regular E30. Are you sure they're going in all the way? (That's what she said.) Where did you buy them from?

Yeah, they're for a regular E30. Autozone has no idea what the fuck they're doing. Take them back and ask for the right ones (check them before you leave) but I'm willing to bet they don't exist. Please don't destroy your IX by putting in shit suspension, bilsteins really aren't that expensive.

Lmao I may or may not be the manager of this so said auto zone, I called gabriel and they told me that it is for the 325i and they never made shocks for the ix its a misprint in their catalog. I did manage to pick up some Sachs Boge's though. Thank's for the advise though!
