    bad rear camber..new suspension setup?

Need Help. Here's my situation....I recently purchased a 1989 325i which has red kyb springs in the rear. The front has a pair of black H&R's with Bilstein shocks all around there black as well, not certain what model the springs and shocks are. The car came with 16x7.5 Lenzo wheels with 205/40/16r Falken tires..Front tires were like new but the insides of the rear tires were shot...I went ahead and purchased the same tires for the rear and the insides are already shot after only a few month of driving as i think the camber in the rear is pretty bad. The front mtech2 kit has also taken some nice damage as well :( car is just two low for my roads.

I'm thinking the springs need to go? I also plan on changing the shocks and possibly my tire size? What do you guys think?

What would be a nice setup for my current situation? (tire size, springs and shocks) Previous setup is just to low and the rear is eating tires far to quick!! Recommendations and opinions on this matter are greatly appreciated!

    thank you for your time!

You have H&R sport springs and Stock Bilstein shocks. If you are bottoming out it is because:

    A) Your stock shocks are blown out from being used with springs that are too low for them.

    And

    B) You are not used to driving a lowered car.

When you lower an e30 it increases the rear camber, you can't help it. To compensate for this you can buy a camber/toe adjustment kit, it requires welding to install.

The proper shocks to go with you H&R springs would be some bilstein sports, or if you have money to burn some Konis.

If you really think that the ride is too low your only other option really is to go back to stock ride height or find a set of m3 springs, which are a bit lower.

The negative camber isn't bad... it's the toe in that does most of the
      damage.

To compensate for this you can buy a camber/toe adjustment kit, it requires welding to install.

Don't get me wrong I like the way she sits I just cant keep on going threw rear tires like this, damaging my oil pan and my lip. I think you may be right about my front shocks being blown it is harsh when I hit a pot hole! I'm sure there probably blown...Do you think maybe after installing some Bilstein sports and H&R sports front and rear I wont have these problems? I was thinking maybe its toeing so excessively because of the KYB springs in the rear?..or maybe some other reason??..because as i mentioned early i did put those tires on only 2 months ago and the insides are already shot.

I'm thinking of leaving the springs for now because i am figuring the main cause for my car bottoming out are blown shocks and not the fact that its to low as i had thought before.

After some reading i believe the car may need a 4 Wheel Alignment to correct the toeing?.
As of now I am thinking of just buying 4 new bilstein sport shocks and than doing a 4 wheel alignment...

          What do you guys think?

There are is no adjustment to the rear suspension unless you have the toe/camber kit installed. I would suggest having a look at your rear bushings, especially the rear trailing arm bushings. Do you hear rattling noises from the rear when you go over bumps? If so your subframe bushings are probably shot too.

Thanks for the information. I will take a look at the rear trailing arm bushings as you mentioned, and keep a ear out for rattling from the rear tho i haven't noticed any. Thanks
