    H&R spring help

It's an 88 325ix and I got H&R sports 1.25 drop, i'm having a hard time getting the front springs and shocks back in. I cant fit the spring compressor past the fender after it's compressed and if I compress it and bolt it up the spring compressor gets stuck in the wheel well! Anyone have any hints.

When I did my suspension work, I did the springs outside the car and reinstalled the whole strut assembly once it was all put together. Dunno if it's different for an ix though, since you have a halfshaft to contend with.

it's a little different, I was going to do it that way until I saw that the shock housing is part of the steering knuckle

The shock housing is part of the steering knuckle on all E30's and to change springs you have to remove the entire strut and knuckle assembly. That will be more work on an IX because of the front half shafts, but that is the way to do it.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
