I've got the JTD RSM's that I'm going to be intalling, but I've got a question about their installation. Obviously, the top of the mount has a large flat washer below the nut. What about the bottom side?
With the factory mounts, the rubber is all one peice and bonded to the metal shaft that goes through the center of the mount. With the JTD type bushings from bimmerworld, there are two separate peices of rubber, one on the top of the mount, one on the bottom, and the metal shaft simply slides through them. Without a washer on bottom, it seems that the rubber below the mount wouldn't act as part of the mount, it would just sit there.
So, what's the verdict? With these mounts, do I need another washer on the bottom sides of the mount?
thanks in advance.
