I do not know what HR kit is for $850, but the GC kits come with camber/caster plates, rear shock mounts, bumpstops and all the little pieces that make it work together.

Additionally, there are two GC-e30 kits for $1499, that also have all those parts, assembled.

A "spec e30 kit" uses standard length front struts that will always be on the bumpstops, which is not good, as everybody is finally figuring out. This is fine, perhaps even desirable for a spec-e30 race car, but a bad place to cut corners for a street car.

If you are talking about just springs, The HR spec e30 kit is $349 most places, and the GC coilover conversion kit is $50 more but then, for $50, you get to:

Choose the ride height you want, instead of what you get.
    Change the ride height.
    Choose different spring rates.
Buy new springs for only $59 each if you change your car.
Discuss different springs with anybody on any forum anywhere.

If you want to go cheap, do the SE30 setup.

GC "short" koni's and Koni SA rears. Thanks!

I have yet to drive the car my friend. It has been sitting for months. Motor swap runs perfectly and is all ready for a full repaint which is expensive as all hell. I'll let you know next week some time.

As far as balloon style setup, I'm not sure what you are referring to but I'm going to go ahead and answer no.

    ix weighs more = stiffer

    front: 375 440 and 525
    rear: 475 650 and 750
Like SkinnyVT said, and there are WAY more spring rate options than that. I think the springs can be ordered in 25lb increments. Those are just the most popular combinations.
