When removing the front struts, is there supposed to be clear fluid in the strut towers?
I know you're supposed to fill a little motor oil with OEM struts.

No. There should not be water in the tube.
I'd recommend popping the cap off the end and making sure it hasn't gotten into the strut itself. That can do bad things, especially if it freezes.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

It isn't water, it is oily, clear fluid..
Is that hydraulic fluid? There isn't much, but are my struts leaking? How do I check if they are still good? They rode fine..Comment

little off topic, but has anyone ever had their shocks sieze to extreme cold?
it has been -15C and they siezed, then it warmed up and they work again.Comment
