e36 coilovers on my e30: upper mount opinions

Thanks to some nice weather I finally pulled the inner ball joints on the old control arms. Now it's time to plot!

    Here's the deal - I'm doing a 5 lug swap: MZ3 control arms, M3 brakes, etc.
I purchased a complete e36 for half the cost of the coil over suspension on it, so that's why I'm fitting a set of e36 TEIN coil overs. These are their super street with pillow block upper mounts.

e36 mounts have two differences: slightly different bolt spacing and offset bolt pattern from the e30.

    Here are my options:
    1) buy new mounts.
    2) press out the mount studs in the tein mounts, redrill and press studs in.
    3) Drill the sheet metal on the e30 body. This seems easiest, and the new holes will end up in nearly an ideal configuration.

    Thoughts?

Ground control or vorshlag camber plates would be the best option.

I would drill the body, this could also help with ackerman if you can move the mounts a bit forward of centre
