Which camber plates decrease negative camber the most?

I have H&R sport springs, and I am getting excessive wear on my tires. When I did the suspension the tires had less than 1000 miles on it, and I had it aligned immediately. I don't remember exactly, but camber in the front was 3-3.5 degrees.

I would like to get caber plates that will give me the ability to take camber back to -1* or so.


Which ones would you recommend?

Our new Touring plates are the only plates I am aware of that will allow you to reduce negative camber on lowered platforms.

I was at -3 also when I had alignment done and recently adjusted my GC camber/Caster plates to max positive (I'll try and get it up on alignment and get the new number for you)

Thanks guys. Mark, do you happen to know the amount of positive camber that the touring plates will provide? Or do you have a measurement of the distance from the hub center to the top of the adjuster?

under compression. does the front suspension gain toe??? I know there is camber gain. I'm just trying to understand it more. To the OP, you may need to check you measurements in toe, also check the condition of your FLCA bushings.

At stock height, toe gain is typically minimal (not sure about E30s) and camber gain is pretty high. Lowered, toe gain is much increased (toe out under compression--good for braking stability, bad for bump steer) and camber gain is much decreased.

Yeah, I saw that. I'm more curious about the amount of camber in degrees. Or, if you happen to know the distance from the center of the wheel/hub to the top of the adjuster while static, then I can calculate it. I doubt GC would want you quoting a distance because it changes with every spring/damper/car setup, but I'd bet there is a number that the designers/engineers would use.

EDIT: I also don't see any info. on stack height. do you know how much height these will add? I'm on H&R sports, so I'd be using the "stock spring" type.

Just noticed this.. Check your bushings, there is no way you should have -3deg with HR Sports, something is wrong.

I am going by memory on this, so I could be wrong. Both sides were within a couple tenths though, so I don't think it is anything structural in the subframe or anything. But toe is within spec, or it was when it was aligned, and my tires are completely toast in 10,000 miles.. and it is pretty obvious that it is from toe.

The bushings are all fine. At the same time I did CA's, CAB's, springs, dampers, tie rods. I designed and built a sway bar for my senior engineering capstone project, so I was running without any sway for the roughly six months that I was working on it. I doubt that would have anything to do with it though.
