I had front shocks (bilstein touring shocks) installed on my E30 with new spring pads last week. The result is a very very uneven ride height. I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that the front suspension components are now new and the rear suspension is still orginial or if there is another issue. The rear shocks seem fine but I'm guessing the spring pads have completely disintegrated over the years. I understand that e30's are higher in the front than the back from the factory but this is definitely a more noticable issue. No matter what the cause, driving the car like this is not an option. I have two other cars on full coilovers, so trying to drive the car like this is unbearable.
I will be looking for a new car after summer time when I am finished with college so I really can't justify redoing the rear suspension after just replacing the front. The front is about 2.2 inches higher than the rear as it sits so I've been trying to think of some possible options to fix the issue. The most cost effective way that I can think of is to buy a set of H&R race springs (lower 1.6 in) and install only the front springs. I obviously understand that this is not the most preferable idea but I would be nervous to mess with the rear suspension since it is already so low.
Take a look at the picture and let me know if you guys have any ideas that might be better.
