G60 bilstein shock? is this it? shorten strut housing?

i have been researching about G60 shock and it comes to this. so do you have to remove the screw on top of the strut housing on the G60 and remove the insert? cut 1" off the e30 strut housing, drop in a spacer, drop the in G60 insert, screw it in tight, throw on your coil.. ects.. is this it? the G60 bilstein shock.

If there is a cartridge inside, then these are the correct ones. If not, then return them.
