Installing new suspension and have some questions.

I bought a 1988 325is and the suspension is pretty bad and from my hours looking at this forum I decided what I wanted and ordered. I got Bilstien Sports with H&R sport springs. I have been reading up on drop hats and pads and am pretty confused. What are these "pads" people keep refering to? the car has about 150,000 miles on it, should I replace the Upper strut mounts aswell?

Plenty of while your in there parts you could replace. Think any bushing.

Rear Strut Mounts are common. Some say e46 OEM or a third party RSM to handle the sportier suspension.

I got Trailing arm, Control arm, and sub frame bushings. As well as rear shock mounts already. Just want to get everything so I can get it done in a day.

I'm doing the same identical thing. If you want to do all the rubber get front suspension mounts, dust covers, new locking nut & washer (1 per side), and new spring rubber pads - they are rings not the mexican hat looking ones for the rears.

The hats are E90 15mm hats. They drop the front end a little more. You won't need the foam bump stops as they are internal.
        JOY IS AN E30...
