Help me get a good handling setup.

I got my ass handed to me this weekend in the canyons by by a s14 Nissan :). I'm a decent driver too haha!

    My current setup:
    91 318is
    Bilstein sports
    IE3 Springs
    e30 M3 CAB
    15x7 Euroweaves
    Falken 615 205/50-15

    Stock sway bars currently..........

I have tons of body roll to the point where its a bit scary at high speed in the turns. I mostly do canyon driving.

What should I do to get flatter cornering? I know it seems obvious to just get the biggest sway bars I can find (IE), but I had problems with my IE rear sways when I had them on my previous car. The problem is the hardware that clamps to the links/bar would always slip off the bar no matter how much I tightened the clamp. I prefer the type of joints where there is a bracket welded to the bar itself and you have 3 selectable positions.........at the same time I have been to told to just up my rear spring rate and leave out the sway all together....anyone tried both of these approaches?

I'm running a ground control setup with stock sways. I have almost no body roll whatsoever.
I need your obd1 parts! Harness intake ecu etc.

I've not heard of any of the Spec E30 guys having problems with the rear adjusters slipping on the IE sways. I wonder if the the bracket/clamps you had might have not been machined properly. A 22/19mm sway bar will be a good match for the IE3 springs and help reduce the body roll.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

That said, going much stiffer than you currently are on street tires isn't going to do much. Remember that body roll is not necessarily bad and that cornering flat can make the car slower.

Sell your setup and get BC racing coils. I love them. I had H&R Races and Bilsteins previously...

About the IE sway slipping....it did tend to be one side only that would slip off and I had the clamp bolt quite a bit tighter than it should have been, either way if I get the sways I will probably go with welded bracket style for reliability and peace of mind.....

Tires... and then you have two schools of thought.

                Soft springs AND big sways
                OR
                Stiff springs AND soft/no bars

With matching good shocks of course.

Since I already have the Bilstein Sports I think I might just switch to the GC coilover conversion with whatever springs they recommend and some UUC Spec e30 sways......

As for tires, the 615K falkens are supposed to be good, I think my problem was more with body roll and it being very uncomfortable ih high speed turns.
