Turner Motorsport suspension question.

For now. I want to get used to the chassis before I swap in something more powerful. Iwill lwave that till this winter. This is my 1st e30 so I want to be much more comfortable with the way it responds before I throw another 100hp at it.
Why do you ask?Comment

I may have missed that when I was looking for parts, I will get back on google and see what I can find. And as for if I am dropping the rear subframe, honestly I dont know, I have never done suspension on an E30 and planned to just go by what the Bentley said to do.Comment

Replacing the subframe and trailing arm bushings will make a world of difference.
When you lower the rear of an e30, the trailing arm geometry will result in inward toe and negative camber. The former is much worse than the latter, but can be dialed out with the kit.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

I was just curious. It sounds like you're putting a good amount of money into this thing so I was wondering what your plans were. I've driven a few m10 cars (e21's) so I know they're pretty slow. However, it sounds like you will have a great car to learn driving lines and the importance of keeping your momentum up.
Good luck with the project!Comment

Cool cool thanks, the rear of a MK2 when lowered dials in neg camber but leaves toe alone so this is new to me. I will look into the kit!

As for money into the car I am still under 3k inculding the price of the car (only 600) and seeing as how I just sold my VW Jetta for about 5k I have a little set aside for the little things that are going to break along with any other unexpected things that pop up with a new platform.Comment

It looks like the kit is good pretty well known. I am not sure it will be required for the setup I am going to be running. From what I gather I will be dialing in about 1.5 degrees of neg camber and 1/32nd of an inch of toe in since I am only lowering the car by about 1.5 inches lower than stock. I will have adjustable camber plates to give me 1 degree more neg camber in the front to keep understeer at bay and in my opinion 1/32nd of an inch on the toe adjustment is pretty minimal. I would grab a set in a hearbeat if I had gone with height adjustable coils to put the car on the ground but that is not the situation here.
Thanks alot for the heads up on the kit but I think for now I am going to simply replace all the bushings and go from there!Comment
