HR springs not low enough, advice needed!

Had the HR Cabrio springs installed a few weeks ago but i had the bottlecaps on. Now i got 17s on but the gap is more noticeable. Thinking of either going HR Race or GC coilover kit (springs kit). Any other suggestions? Full coilover kits not an option. Thanks

Still doesn't help with the rear ride height. You can try drop hats and removing the rear spring pads but it will only give you about 10mm or so.

It's an 318, right? Coilovers is probably the way to go. If I were to do it again on my cars, to save time, I'd do coils and be done with it.

this is why Ive held back so long, afraid that I may not be happy with the results / time wasted / and money spent. Are your springs 318 vert specific ?

Got drop hats already but could go down another inch up front. Maybe .5" rear. Im debating either Race or GC CO kit. Im leaning towards the kit for the adjustability. Guess i know what to do. Thanks for the input guys.

The GC kit doesn't go as low as some like.

I built a kit from scratch using 5" Afco coilover sleeves from Summit, and Eibach springs from eshocks.com

For the rears I used the rear adjusters from an E36 ebay kit and Eibach springs.

I just sold the rest of the kit (four springs, front adjusters) on a local forum for $100.

All in all I was into the setup for about $400, which is in the ballpark of the GC kit.

The only custom work needed to run the Afco sleeves, was the perch cut off the strut tube, and a new one welded on 5" down.

Here is how they sit with about 3/4" left of adjustment:

Your stance is nice! Im more or less looking to be in that range. Back to the drawing board for me.

I have a project thread on my local forum but I'm slim on the details on my suspension setup.

Shoot me a PM if you want me to post what I bought and where I got it. I'm going to be out of town at a conference this week, so i can't take any actual pics of my setup, but I can at least show you what I built it with.
