Hey,
I'm poking around my e30's front suspension today trying to diagnose what I thought were bad tie rods. Upon closer inspection the actual shaft in the rack is what is moving. IE when you wobble the wheel the transversal rod inside the steering rack moves up and down about 1/8-1/4". I tried tightening the big nut on the rack itself but it doesn't seem to help much. any ideas? The rack isn't leaking at all. Car is a 91 with an airbag.
Thanks!
