I just had to learn the hard way, function>form.
It's time for some GC coil overs sometime this year.

Springs that will slam my car

Just to chime in, I have the GC coilover kit(450lbs/in front 700lbs/in rear), Bilstein dampers with 1 inch cut off the bumpstop. In my sig(and other recent pics) I'm all the way down in the front(no adjustable perch either) and about 2/3 down in the rear. Now here's the problem, the Bilstein's are not built for that high a spring rate and soon blow out(mine blew within a month). So if you get the GC coilover kit, you'll definitly need to get the shortened Koni shocks. And since you're looking to slam the car, you(like me) will need to weld the GC spring perches on to go any lower than I am right now.

Theres a big difference between cutting a coil off a stiffer aftermarket spring and pairing it with the appropriate shock; and hacking stock springs and stock shocks

you can cut more. but i would cut your bumpstops as well, otherwise you'll be close to your bumpstops
edit: i would get coilover sleeves. There's not much reason to stay with stock size springs if youre looking to get low. And if you want slammed, you're going to need to go farther than that

And if my math is correct, lol, it means you pretty much cut 1 coil which is what everyone has done without any sacrifice. I even think Janderson has 1 coil cut on his E30.

If you already have bilstein sports, just slap on the GC coil kit. its only 400 bucks and you can choose your spring rates.... most spring kits come close to that price anyway.

I have never once hit the bumpstops.

My sig shows FK 60/40 w/Bilstein sports. Rides pretty good, but I have absolutely nothing to compare it to.
