Full suspension replacement, what do you think??

Hey everyone, I would like to be able to do autocross this summer, problem is that my car is no shape to be pushed to the limits the way it is now: my tie rods, control arms bushings, say bars and end links (with bushings), shocks and springs have to be replaced. This is a long list and so I was looking into a kit that would best suit my budget and get me as far as I can to do autocross.

So far I have found the stage 3 suspension kit at pelicanparts.com as the best option. I would like to know if someone has tried this kit and if anybody has better ideas.

    ANY help is appreciated!

My car is a 1991 318is by the way
Here is a link to the kit: http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/cata...SUSwiz_pg2.htm

    The kit contains
    Struts and Shocks
    Front Strut Mounts
    Rear Shock Mounts
    Trailing Arm Bushings
    Front Control Arm Bushings
Front and Rear Sway Bar End Links
    Strut/Shock Mounting Nuts/Bolts
Front and Rear Spring Retaining Pads

There is no "best" option really, you have to figure out EXACTLY what you are trying to accomplish.

What I mean by that is, when people say "I am going to autocross my car" this means squat, you can autocross a 100% stock car or you can bring a tube frame chassis car on race tires. You see, this is a very wide range of options that it gives you in terms of (in this case) your suspension choices.

You need to figure out what your budget is, what class you will autocross is, are you trying to complete for points, or are you just going there to have fun?

At the very minimum a full suspension refresh will contain the following-

shocks/springs (range is wide here, from $50 a shock from kragen to $1000s)
control arms (get the quality Lemf parts or at least Meyle)
lower control arm mounts (oem, offset are basic ones)
      sway bar bushings (oem)
      sway bar links
front upper strut mounts (or camber plates if you are upgrading your suspension and is serious about autocross and your class allows it)
      rear shock mounts
rear subframe bushings (these are most likely WORN OUT)
rear trailing arm bushings (same as subframe bushings)

You normally would also do the following at the same time, as it makes sense since it's all there and most likely PO never did this unless you bought a car with good history.

Front and rear soft brake lines
      Engine mounts
      Tranny mounts
      Exhaust hangers
      Diff mount
      Shifter bushings and components
Drivedshaft CSB and Guibo and new nuts

You may also need/want to do the following as well-
      rear wheel bearings
      front wheel bearings/hubs
      front rotors
      rear rotors
      front/rear pads
      front/rear calipers
