So my rack is leaking slowly and last winter it whined a lot until the car was warm. My suspension is pretty worn...I had the wheels off a few weeks ago and most of the bushings looked worn/cracked/dried
Was planning on doing all new brakes, and most of the suspension soon..with an e36 rack after then an alignment...
now...almost every small bump on the left front tire I hear a smacking noise and it goes away. Sometimes it clicks once or twice then stops...but most of the time its a loud click...
I inspected the entire area and only found what looked to be my fan clutch making contact with the radiator. I forget if it was there before or not since I recently blew a fan clutch and its all been replaced...
think my motor mounts are shot and my engine is moving forward on the radiator? I dont hear a grinding just a snap like a quick noise...
is my rack the source of this hideous snapping sound? im not bottoming out either...idk what to think
