GC setup for 91 318is. still have the ix also

how much did you spend on your GC setup. I want to go with koni adjustables. What else do i need just the perches/spring. I mean the camber plates could be done later or should it all be done at once. How much am i looking at spending here?

    anyone want a glass moonroof?

I was looking in to a GC setup, I may still do it in the future, but I ended up just getting the GC konis, rear shock mounts and bump stops for my 318is. I also have IE stage 3 springs waiting to go in. I figure I can pick up some perches and Camber plates in the future.

The konis are $170 each, front and rear, that's $680 for a set. The springs/perches are $399 and I think the upper spring perch comes with the camber plates...not sure. A brand new GC complete kit is $1500 or $1600, though I would add up the piece parts and come out with a smaller number.

You picked up that mint 318is that was for sale here or that other place? Have fun with it.

$680 for the dampers, $399 for the springs/perches/sleeves/hardware, $99 for the street RSMs, a few bucks for bumpstops. So you're looking at $1200+shipping for everything.

Get plates now to save yourself the labour, but you don't really need them at all. BTW, IE racing plates are better.

IE plates any cheaper. I hope to get this car autoxing first before i mod it, but i am just curious and wanna get things figured out.

and yes its a mint 318is w/ 78k, i paid a bit too much but my old man is paying a little for a bit more of a graduation gift and we are selling our subaru since we don't need it anymore cause i have 2 cars.

$350 for the Koni S/A's (rear shocks not top adjustable though) after selling the springs that came with the kit from Germany, $350 for the coilover kit (any rate/size/etc...) from a group buy on BF.c, and $275 for GC camber plates, used.

            $975 for me mang.

Got camber plates from IE for $80 and other assorted bushings, urethane at RTRS.

And you bought that 318is? Now you're REALLY gonna replicate my car man! What are you doing with the iX? I wouldn't mind if you weren't so close to Gettysburg (35 minutes from Hood College) haha.

Just to set things straight after years of misinformation spreading, the GC Konis are VERY different comapared to regular ones from other vendors. The valving is MUCH stiffer, more suited to a linear spring in my eyes.

its the same color as your car. I am keeping the ix, so now i have 2 toys. Don't worry, some of the other stuff i wont' be buying now since i bought another car. i'll make it unique. i dont like having the same car as everyone else. how come we have never met up if you are so damn close to me. Although i dont' d the meets too often.

I will be buying GC koni's when i get them. it may be a while though depending on the success i have selling off the parts i have laying around.

Dude. I went to Gettysburg College once and went to a diner and your car was parked outside. I even made sure to park mine nearby in case you headed out before I did.

I mean, I wasn't gonna go runnin' around the diner saying "who here has an E30!?". Thats waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles shit.

Wait, whats that supposed to mean? I mean, 20 to 1 girl/guy ratio sure was nice freshman year. And I found myself a freshman come my sophomore year, and amazingly, she's pretty damn hot. Hood girls are known for thier....well...ugly. Who was your friend? I probably know her, I know alot of people.
