p/s fluid fail

I was driving last night at 2am and my car started to make some stressful sounds every time I turned. Last time his happened, it was the fluid. I didn't have any dexwhatever on me, so I had to use the generic gas station STP bullshit. It seemed to work fine, but I've heard this isnt the best stuff to use.

Should I break out the turkey baster and get it out of there or just let it go? I also read somewhere that you could put tranny fluid in there?!

yes, turkey baste and add ATF ftw.
if its leaking, you may not have anything left so it may be worth just looking 1st. (at least the pump didn't burn up)

check the bottom of the reservior, but most common leaks are the racks themselves (time for the 95 m3 swap)

Draining mine out of the reservoir was a REAL bitch.

I would say drain by undoing the drain bolts on the actual rack.

Standard ATF for the rack fellas, NOT power steering fluid.
