Front coilovers - need help please

So, just recently my driver side front coilover has been getting these strange noises...

Its like a clunking sound. when i jack up the car from my driver side door, as the strut/shock un-compresses (idk what the right terms are) it kind of twitches as the car is being lifted up... shouldn't it be a smooth, no clunking sound kind of a deal?

also as i drive, it makes noises when im not driving on a smooth road, and it is only my driver front side coilover... im very worried what is going on, im almost positive that its not blown b/c its practically brand new (hopefully).

Any idea what could be the cause of this?
These are the idea my friend thinks
-valves are messed up inside the coilover from manufacturer
-rocks are stuck inside my valves
-control arm bushings are shot (really hoping this is the problem...)

    Thanks in advance...

Made a video... watch at the times between 0:24 and 0:45... this is the twitching/jerking sound I get when I'm driving.
this is what it does as my car goes down on the jack slowly...

    What brand coilovers?

    Check:

    Strut shaft bolt/upper mount bearing

    Tie rod end

    Ball Joint

    Swaybar links

    Wheel bearings

Control arm bushings usually won't "clunk" unless the rubber is torn or missing.
    Suspension tips here...

      It's AST 4100's.

I hope it's something that I can just replace.. I don't want to send it back to AST and wait for it again... its soo irritating. I'll check all those things tomorrow, but any other ideas?

I can feel that the coilovers are not compressing right...

seems like the shock itself is binding a lot. If you pull them off the car and you compress the shock by hand you can at least confirm and eliminate anything else related to the front suspension. Maybe you can get them to send you a replacement before sending yours back?
