I've installed ie3 with koni S/A on my 84 318. Everytime a take a hard right, the car will start pulling to the right, and when i make a hard left it pulls left. I've been driving on the new suspension for a week now, and i probably went over 100 miles now. Can you guys help me out?

probably bent tie rod/rods
they are keep the car straight until you turn which the shift forward or backward causing the wheel to pull more in or out... thus the steering problemComment

So it turns when you turn? Sounds like a good thing if you want to turn.
If you lowered the car you may have some weird toe settings.sigpic"If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself." -Ferdinand Porsche

That is almost certainly binding of the upper shock mounts. When you turn hard in one direction the upper spring hat goes to full travel, but doesn't fully return to the centered position as you relax the wheel because the upper mount binds. That causes the wheels to pull in the direction of the last hard turn. This is a common problem with some camber plates that have plain spherical bearings instead of ball/roller bearings. With those camber plates frequent lubrication helps, but the problem will always be there. But the same affect can result from bad OE upper mounts.Last edited by jlevie; 07-23-2011, 08:14 AM.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It sounds like the bearings in your strut mounts are gone. When you change them do make sure that the strut and upper mount are assembeled with correct parts in the right places. The link below shows correct parts order. In particular #7 and #8 are critically important.
