    i want my e30 to be low!

    i have the ground control coilover conversion kit on my 88 325i. but it still doesnt make my car as low as i want it. its on bottlecaps with 195/65/r14 tyres :/. can somebody give me some ideas. i want it to be low low. tell me what i should buy or do. i dont wanna cut my springs or anything like that, hopefully i wont have to. thanks.

        Good Lord, good idea on not cutting the gc springs. But yea, as Stephen said you may need some lower springs. Also, have you modified the strut tubes?

              The strut housing is shortened, then you use a shorter strut insert with a spacer to retain travel whilst going leaux.

                cut strut will get you low up front. 4in spring will get you low in the rear

                    Well if you're not on shortened shocks the only thing you can modify is the spring perch. Just cut off the old spring perch(leave a little lip), then slide the D-ring that came w/ your conversion kit down to that spot and weld it in place.

                        there are plenty of youtube videos and many write ups all over the internet. go to google and type in "how to..." gotta do your part.

                        when cutting the tubes you will need shorter front shocks, because you are making the housing they go in shorter. or else you will blow them(or they might not even fit: depending)

                        also you will need access to a welder and obviously something to cut the tubes apart. plus the necessary tools and know how to pull off and apart your suspension.
