High speed steering grinds (yes, I goggled it)

Ya, so as I drive there is a whirring/grinding noise coming from the front of the car.

I had the car on the hoist and the left front wheel has difficulty rotating. I have a replacement hub for that. (are the brakes unrelated here?)

When I drive straight or turn to the right it makes this noise. However, when I turn to the left, all the noise goes away...

Could it be a ball joint? Brakes? Hub?

A bad left bearing will make more noise when turning right than left and may make noise going straight. It is also possible that you have a binding caliper on that side. Get the front of the car in the air and remove the brakes on both sides. Then spin each wheel and check for noise or roughness.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

For anyone else who has this issue, both my wheel bearing and outer ball joint were bad. Tie rod end could use replacing too.
