E36 rack install

Hey Guys,

I'm a new member looking to buy a 318is but the power steering rack is broken. I have 2 questions.
1. Are they easy to find and replace yourself?
2. If I were to do an e36 rack swap would that include the power steering and as such I shouldn't replace the current one?

e36 rack will bolt right on with spacer, try google about them spacer. you will have to bend you p/s line so it'll fit the e36 rack. then your good to go. junk yard should have plenty of e36 rack laying around for cheap.

So the power steering is seperate from the steering rack itself? Like if the power steering needed replacing I could keep the steering rack?
