How to remove GC rear perch

Im trying to remove the rear perch that sits on the nub on the trailing arm without damaging it. Any advice?

Stick a flat head screwdriver through the hole in the top and finagle. That is the best way to prevent tearing up the threads.

I ended up putting the coller on and prying on that instead. Worked great.

Yes. Run the gold threaded collar almost all the way down, and then gently pry up around the periphery.

I made that sucker a tight fit on purpose, no noise.
