That doesn't look like it pulled out...more like it came unthreaded.

If the car is low, it is possible for the bumpstop to actually unscrew the gland nut, when coming in contact with it, if you did not use the white nylon "washers" that came with the Konis.

Doesn't look like the gland nut threads are that bad, you can use a thread file to clean them up. You will need to pull the strut out and check the threads in the tube and might be able to clean them up a little with a pick or something. Use some lubricant spray when trying to thread it back in and make sure it is tight this time ;)

Here is a thread file if you haven't used one(should be able find it in a local store):

Thanks everyone for the help I really appreciate it, the threads only look bad at the bottem part, so its just the threads that are needed to grab that look finished because they were rubbing with the threeads on the inside, the threads in the middle and top are perfect because they werent rubbing on anything, I wont be able to tell more without taking it apart so

once I take the car out of storage I will unbolt everything and take more detailed pictures to assess whether the threads are done or still ok. If everything is completely ruined then I will need help to find a place to purchase the new sleeve and gland.

I bought these used, so I really don't know how they were installed or what parts were used (c3m kit), the struts are not shortened, so would it be a good idea to just re do both struts shortened anywase?
