    reusing wheel hubs

So I'm confused about this, is it safe to reuse the front hub/bearing assy for our cars? I know quite often the inner race is left behind so I'm assuming you can't simply rebuild the bearing and reuse that hub but if the stress is enough to pull appart the bearing would it be ok to reuse one that doesn't come appart? The same stress was applied to the bearing as the force to remove it had to transfer from the hub through the bearing to the inner race, leading me to believe they'red probably be unseen damage....

Plan to swap em cause I had GC's built, and my current ones are good.

Once you remove the front wheel bearings they will have to be replaced, and trust me its not worth putting back.

reuse hub, get new bearings. You CAN get the bearings off without damaging them but why bother?

      Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

If the hub slides off the spindle by hand and easily, you could probably reuse the hub and bearing. But if you have to use a puller or pry the hub off, at the least the seals will be damaged and you'll need a new hub.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If you want to reuse what you have as a unit, i would put the whole thing in the oven @ 200-225 F and then try to gently remove the hub assembly. The hub will expand more than the spindle cause it's mean diameter is greater blah, blah, you already know this etc.

If they come apart in one piece, reuse them. I've done this a couple times with no issue. I've also had a couple front hubs come off in pieces.

Ordered new hubs from turner as they were on the cheap at $119, and I'd rather not take the chance that my old ones would come off easily. Rather not be spending a week sans vehicle waiting on wheel hubs. Thanks for the input guys, one step closer to slammage.
