    Rear Coilover Spring Help!

I ordered a set of JOM coilovers for my car, and i know that the rear will need to go lower. First thing, are JOM adjusters made to fit a 2.25 ID spring like most others?

Are there any companies besides Hyperco that make 4 inch spring?

What would be a good spring rate for a DD? I was thinking 600, but it sounds a little soft.

Also if anyone has any 4 inch 2.25 ID springs for sale i would definately be interested in buying them.

    Thanks

I am guessing you are leaving the spring in the stock location?
600 should be fine. I run 750s for a race setup. As for who makes em Just buy hyperco.

i dont know what you mean by stock location. I know the rear springs of the JOM coilovers dont go low, so i am getting a 4 inch spring so i can still run the adjuster and go lower. Does anyone know if the JOM adjusters work with a 2.25 ID spring?

they should work with the 2.25" spring.

Also, 600 is by no means soft. Most guys that buy coils are running like 350-500 front and 450-550 rear. 600 should do just fine for DD. I DD my 600fr 750rr setup. I love how stiff it is.

You could also run the JOM spring without the adjuster.

Otherwise, check Summit Racing for springs.

ok thanks. if i got a 4 inch spring, would the JOM shocks not be able to handle it, and blow quickly?

that spring would lower the car quite a bit which could blow the shocks. You would be hard pressed to find a non adjustable dampener that wouldnt blow at that height. If you are going to go that low, you should get a shock that will handle the smaller spring better.

nothing yet. insurance is a bitch to pay with such shitty jobs and school. im going to be ordering the 4 inch springs most likely, and maybe shocks down the road when i get the money.
